Lagoon SIXTY 5 - Big things are sailing our way

The world’s leader in catamaran manufacturing has once again made a bold step forward with the introduction of the all new Lagoon SIXTY5.  A clear leader in this segment, the new 65 promises to deliver on all the learnings gained from the incredible success of the now legendary Lagoon 620.

With over 100 Lagoon 620s sailing safely around the world, this model is now recognised as the most successful catamaran in its sector. Lagoon have since stepped further into the big boat market with the SEVENTY 7 and combining their learnings from these two incredible models have created the latest pocket superyacht, the Lagoon SIXTY 5.

DESIGN

Naval Architect: VPLP Design
Interior Design: Nauta Design
Exterior Design: Patrick Le Quément

With a wealth of knowledge, Lagoon has again teamed up with long time collaborators, the highly acclaimed naval architects VPLP, as well as Patrick Le Quement for the exterior architecture and design and Studio Nauta for the interior flow and finishing.   Luxury and design have reached a new level brought on by the experience and design only achievable when you have so many successful builds under your belt.

STYLING

The SIXTY 5 features the soft lines and floating roof we have all come to appreciate in the new generation of Lagoon models. Everything comes together smoothly with windows framed by the moulding and flush hatches on the wide walkaround decks. Taking inspiration from flagship Lagoon SEVENTY7 and SEVENTY8, the SIXTY5 now offers the same saloon to bow access through the forward door.

Sleek, intrepid, thirsty for wind & waves, embodying precision and finesse, the SIXTY 5 is made to navigate the known and the unknown, to share adventures with your loved ones, and above all, to be at one with your yacht.

INNOVATION

The SIXTY 5 brings new innovations to the table to maximise safety, handling and experience.

  • Improved access to the flybridge from the open cockpit for safety while underway.
  • Twin helm brought forward for short-handed sailing and ease of control and use.
  • Reversible full width cockpit lounge so you can face outwards to the ocean or inwards to guests.

OPPORTUNITIES

With options, means opportunity and the SIXTY 5 does not hold back when it comes to offering a vessel that is specified exactly for the customer.

  • Feel at home with your choice of woods and upholstery to suit your style and taste.
  • Galley up or down?
  • Layouts for private ownership or with up to 6 double ensuite cabins + additional space for crew.
  • 3 fabulous flybridge layouts to suit any lifestyle or desire.

EXTERIOR

“With its slender hulls, all in sculptural curves, the SIXTY 5 displays its belonging to the world of luxury sailing yachts.

The secret of its beauty lies in the sensual lines, an alliance of both tradition and modernity, which orchestrate its generous proportions…

The simplest thing is simplicity itself. A beautiful boat is defined by the generosity of her dimensions; her length and width perfectly accommodate quality rigging and powerful sails, which open up voyages and adventures. Everything is there, everything can be seen without required explanation, the SIXTY 5 is a beautiful boat that exudes discretion and is a rite of passage. Her design expresses herself naturally, seamlessly integrating expertise and creativity into the finished product.”

INTERIOR

“Aboard the Lagoon SIXTY 5, you can look straight through fore to aft and out over the surroundings with commanding 360° views. The main saloon is comfortable and luxurious with open spaces and natural light. The same design concept is applied to cabins, which enjoy good overhead height and excellent natural light and views. The level of finishing repeats the luxury from the saloon while the owners cabin picks up and improves concepts from the successful Lagoon 620: a private water access aft like a terrace on the sea. Of course the master cabin is my favourite place on board, where luxury, comfort and style are best combined.”

PERFORMANCE AND MANOEUVRING.

“The SIXTY 5 is a yacht on a human scale. I’m a sailor at heart, and there was no way the SIXTY 5 wasn’t going to be a really easy to use yacht that you could cruise far and wide under sail in comfort and with seakeeping qualities inherited from her big sister. I dream of going long term cruising on this boat. Her long legs allow you to eat up the miles, and then you can enjoy her comfort at stopovers.”
