A Show-Stopping Debut for Three New Lagoons at Cannes

The global debut of a new Lagoon is something special – the unveiling of three new Lagoons is quite exceptional. The Cannes Yachting Festival 2017 saw the launch of three beautifully designed and eagerly awaited new vessels – the 4050 and 78MY. The team from TMG was at the Lagoon stand at Cannes to welcome Australian clients and to bring you the first footage of these stunning new models.

TMG MD John Cowpe and Queensland State Manager Rowan McMahon arrived in France a few days before the Show, to host a very successful European Launch Tour. Starting at the factory in Bordeaux with an inspection of the 78MY, they headed to Les Sables d’Olonnes to meet up with Australian owners of recently launched vessels and to welcome owners with boats launching next year. Then it was on to Cannes.

Here’s what John had to say about the five-day event…

“Cannes is becoming a more and more popular event for Australians wishing to make purchasing decisions over in Europe. Across the five-day show, we received a high level of interest and had lots of meetings with Australians who wanted to have the opportunity to get to grips with new 40 and 50 and with potential buyers of the 78MY who got a chance to have a closer look. It was fantastic meeting up with everyone, including some familiar faces.

At every boat show the Lagoon stand is always buzzing and brimming with people. Being the number one catamaran brand in the world, people are very keen to get on the boats! We enjoyed catching up with lots of Lagoon clients and dealers. The Lagoon hospitality was second to none as always and the social element of owning a Lagoon really shone through – like minded people getting together to have a good time, with a shared love of their cats.

We had success at the show with a number of new sales, including the impressive Lagoon 630MY to a wonderful Aussie couple. There was understandably lots of interest in the new 40 and 50; their eye catching and well thought out new design was definitely a crowd pleaser.

It was fantastic to spend time with the wonderful team from Lagoon too, we are looking forward to exciting times ahead as the brand goes from strength to strength.
