Offshore with the Dragonfly 35

It didn’t take much persuasion to get a crew together to deliver the Dragonfly 35 up to the Gold Coast from Sydney for the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show.

John Cowpe, Joe Fox and the rest of the dream team could not be held back!

The 35 is a fast, performance¬†cruiser. She’s super stable and safe, and she’s a whole lot of fun to sail.

The trip up the coast was a great opportunity to put her through her paces and she did not disappoint.

The perfect explorer

The Dragonfly 35 is the perfect way to explore offshore trimaran sailing.

She all about performance yet doesn’t compromise on space. And she can easily be sailed single-handed.

The 35 is available in two versions, the Touring version for fast, easy cruising; and the Ultimate version for those a little more speed addicted.

With full standing headroom of 1.94m, she can comfortably accommodate up to accommodate seven people.

The famous Swing Wing system allows for narrow berthing and she can be safely and easily beached Рperfect features for exploring the Australian east coast.

Versatile performance

Sailing the 35 is certainly fast and fun. It is also very practical.

She boasts an oversized and spacious cockpit. All lines are within easy reach and for the helmsman, a GRP aft rail makes life comfortable.

The 35 handles beautifully, and all functions lead back to the cockpit.

The test team was impressed with the 35’s speed and performance. At 25 knots in 3m seas in the Pacific, she handled exceptionally and was a sight to behold.

This boat may have been born and bred in the north, but she’s proving to be right at home on southern seas.
