Lagoon Success in ARC+ Race 2016

Every November since 1986 the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) has set sail from Las Palmas, bound 2,700 nautical miles westward across the Atlantic to the Caribbean.

Although the ARC+ race is only two weeks in, Lagoon Boats have already had some extraordinary results in the first leg of the race.

John Cowpe summarises the outstanding results from the Lagoon Yachts

“Amazing results 1st leg of the ARC + as Lagoon take out all of the top 5 positions in the multihull division and 1st and 3rd place overall across all classes…..and the 42’s are yet to start!!”

  •    — Cat’Ley – Lagoon 52 Sports Top – Overall winner across all classes in first leg gran Canaria – Cape                 Verde
  •    — Dream Catcher – Lagoon 52 – 5th in Multis in first leg gran Canaria – Cape Verde
  •    — Sumore – Lagoon 570 – 3rd overall across all classes in first leg gran Canaria – Cape Verde and                      2nd in the Multihull division
  •    — Spirit – Lagoon 450 F – 3rd in the Multihull division in first leg gran Canaria – Cape Verde
  •    — Opptur Lagoon 500 – 4th in Multihull division in first leg gran Canaria – Cape Verd

The ARC race due to depart on the 20th of November. There are 16 multihulls in the ARC race including:
